We offer treatment for a wide array of conditions, using a thoughtful combination of psychotherapy, medical care, and personalized support. Explore the conditions we treat below.
Trauma doesn't always fade on its own. We help individuals confront past events through trauma-informed therapy techniques such as EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, and guided exposure therapy - providing a safe space to process, heal, and rebuild.
ADD and ADHD affect more than just attention - they influence every part of daily life. Our ADD/ADHD programs combine behavioral therapy, executive function training, and when appropriate, medication management, to help clients stay focused, organized, and calm.
Chronic anxiety can feel paralyzing, but it doesn’t have to control your life. Our team treats anxiety, including generalized anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, and phobias. Clients learn techniques to reduce anxious thoughts and improve daily functioning.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder can manifest in nightmares, emotional detachment, and hypervigilance. We use evidence-based therapies like trauma-focused CBT and mindfulness interventions to help clients process traumatic events and move toward healing.
When you're living with depression, even getting out of bed can feel like an impossible task. At Hillside Horizon for Teens, we offer a range of treatments to lift the weight of depression - from therapy and support groups to medication-assisted recovery and holistic care.
Whether it’s borderline, narcissistic, avoidant, or another type of personality disorder, we provide therapy models tailored to each diagnosis. Using approaches like DBT and schema therapy, we help clients regulate emotions, manage relationships, and regain control.
Bipolar disorder affects moods, energy levels, and decision-making - but stability is possible. We offer bipolar disorder treatment that includes medication monitoring, lifestyle strategies, and psychoeducation to help individuals understand and manage their condition.
When mental health issues are combined with substance use, treatment must address both simultaneously. Our dual diagnosis program supports recovery while treating underlying psychological issues with integrated care.
OCD is more than repeated behaviors - it’s a constant mental loop of intrusive thoughts. Our therapists specialize in exposure and response prevention (ERP), a gold-standard OCD treatment method that helps clients reduce compulsions and reclaim their lives.
With proper care and medication, schizophrenia is manageable. We provide a comprehensive support system including psychiatric care, therapy, and daily living skills coaching, designed to help individuals stabilize, communicate, and reconnect with themselves and others.
Sleep isn’t a luxury - it’s a necessity. If you’re experiencing chronic sleep disturbances, our therapists will help you address both physical and mental health factors contributing to insomnia. Treatment may include CBT-I, lifestyle coaching, and relaxation therapies.
If you're overwhelmed by thoughts of suicide, there is help - and there is hope. Our clinicians prioritize safety and trust, offering crisis intervention, safety planning, and ongoing therapeutic care in a confidential, nonjudgmental environment.
Mood disorders can present as extreme highs, crushing lows, or persistent emotional flatness. We tailor treatment plans to each client's experience, helping them better understand their symptoms, process difficult emotions, and achieve emotional balance.
Self-injury is often a cry for help or a way to cope with emotional pain. Our clinicians gently address the underlying issues behind self-harm and provide alternative strategies for emotional regulation, expression, and long-term healing.
The duration of your treatment depends on your goals and the nature of your condition. Some individuals benefit from a short-term program of 6–8 weeks, while others continue care for several months or more. Your therapist will regularly review your progress and adjust your treatment plan as needed.
Mental health care isn’t just for those in crisis. Anyone experiencing emotional distress, behavioral challenges, or persistent mental health symptoms can benefit from support. You don’t have to “wait until it’s bad enough” to reach out – getting help now can prevent long-term complications later.
Mental health struggles can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face them alone. At Hillside Horizon for Teens, we offer proven pathways to recovery for teens in SoCal with warmth, dignity, and professional guidance. Whether you need residential support or flexible outpatient therapy, our dedicated team is ready to help you take the next step.

My commitment to fostering growth, resilience, and healing continues to be the cornerstone of my career.

Program Director
With a strong commitment to supporting individuals with special needs, and at risk youth, I have built a career dedicated to advocacy and behavioral health. My journey began as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in group homes and for the local school district for both adults and adolescents with special needs, behavioral challenges, and at-risk youth. I then transitioned into behavioral health, serving as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) at Hillside Horizon, where I worked closely with at-risk youth and individuals with complex behavioral needs. I later advanced to Lead BHT and then Operations Manager. Currently, as the Program Director at Hillside Horizon, I oversee program development, staff training, and client care, ensuring high-quality services for individuals with behavioral and developmental challenges. Additionally, I support the local school district as a special needs advocate, working to enhance resources and support for students and families.
Director of Outreach
Driven from my own personal experience, I have found purpose in what I do in the Behavioral Health field. I started working in the industry over ten years ago as a driver and a tech. I have worked multiple roles and understand the complexities of all levels of care and positions. I continued my education and completed my Alcohol and Drug Counseling Certification from Saddleback College and received my bachelor’s degree in Community Advocacy and Social Policy from Arizona State University last May. I am currently the Director of Outreach at Hillside Horizon for Teens. From answering questions about the program to connecting families with resources, I enjoy being apart of our clients journey to healing!
